Artist Biography
I spent a number of years dabbling in various artistic endeavors. However, 2006 saw me take a more deliberate and professional approach to art by enrolling in watercolour lessons through Devonian Gardens, Artra Art School, Central Lions Senior Centre as well as private lessons. Drawing, Pen and Ink, Watercolour, Acrylic and workshops have followed. My work can be found in private collections spanning seven countries on three continents. The infinite beauty and majesty of creation is my inspiration.
Artist Statement
Since my unexpected early retirement, painting has become my passion. Having previously tried knitting, cross-stitching, crocheting and teaching primitive weaving; a new world of colour, value and composition opened up for me when I began drawing and painting. Art books, internet lessons, art classes, workshops from established artists and personal experimentation have given me the courage to express myself artistically. Painting gives me JOY!
