Artist Biography

The desire to draw and create in many different ways has been part of my nature from my earliest memories. Though I grew up in rural Alberta, I have a particular love for the wild and majestic Kootenay Lake region where I spend most of my summers. I began painting in 1996, learning from superb teachers and exploring different mediums. Joining the St. Albert Painters Guild in 2006 gave me the opportunity to learn, be mentored and show my work. I have participated in shows in St. Albert, Edmonton and Creston, BC. Currently painting in acrylics, I love the challenge of capturing light, colors and patterns.

Artist Statement

Trees, mountains and rocky riverbanks make my heart sing and provide the inspiration for my paintings.
