Art in the Open 2024
Saturday, June 8, from 10 am - 5 pm.
Registration dates: March 1-31 on the Painters Guild website
This is a unique opportunity for artists and artisans to sell your works with no restrictions.
Guild members are welcome to set up their own display on their front lawn, in their garage or at a local green space. Use tents, easels, grid wall or tables. Be creative.
If you do not live in St. Albert, or do not have a place to set up, you can partner up with a fellow member from any guild. A list will be provided. There may also be additional locations where a number of artists can set up.
You are responsible for receiving payment for your works. There is no commission!
What we require:
1. You are encouraged to advertise on your social media, in your neighborhood, via email to friends and family.
2. We do not sanction the participation of non-members. You must be a member of one of the guilds in order to register.
3. On the day of, or the day prior, you will set out Art in the Open signs to direct the public to your location. These will be returned to the Painters Guild after the show.
4. Keep a record of how many visitors you have.
5. This is a rain or shine event. Be prepared for all weather. There will be no refunds within 30 days of the event.
What we provide:
1. Signs for you to place in your neighborhood.
2. A tri-fold brochure and map with the names and locations of participants. You will receive a bundle prior to the show to be distributed to your neighbors and also to the public who visit on the day of the show.
3. Publicity in the way of newspaper articles, posters, brochures, and advertising on the digital sign on the south side of St. Albert for 1 week including the day of the show.
4. The chance to participate in a popular event that has been going for several years.
